Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on netscanner.ch is Agenturen Mani, Hinterbergstrasse 21, 6330 Cham, Switzerland, email info@hyperpage.ch. This policy is based on the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Hosting and server logs
The website and the lookup API are operated via Cloudflare, Inc. (USA). When you access the site, Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, the requested address, browser type and operating system in order to deliver the page, fend off attacks and limit the number of lookups per minute. Cloudflare is certified under the EU-US and Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework. We do not analyze these logs on a personal level.
Your lookups
When you check a domain or IP address, our server queries the public sources required for this: Cloudflare’s DNS resolver 1.1.1.1, the registry of the domain extension, the regional internet registry of the IP address, IPinfo for the country and network operator of the checked IP, and, for the website and header checks, the checked website itself. These parties see our server’s request, not your IP address.
We do not permanently store the domains and IP addresses you check. Results are kept in a technical cache for five minutes at most so that repeated lookups are faster. Your inputs are not transmitted to Google Analytics.
Map
For results that include a country, your browser loads map tiles from the OpenStreetMap Foundation (United Kingdom). In the process, your IP address is transmitted to their servers. An adequacy decision exists for the United Kingdom.
Google Analytics
Only if you consent in the cookie banner do we use Google Analytics 4 by Google Ireland Limited or Google LLC (USA) to statistically analyze the use of the website, for example which pages are visited and which lookups are started. Google sets cookies (e.g. _ga) and processes information about your device and your usage. IP addresses are not stored by Google Analytics 4. Google is certified under the Data Privacy Framework. Advertising features are disabled.
The legal basis is your consent. You can withdraw it at any time via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. Without your consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.
Local storage
We store your cookie banner choice in your browser’s local storage (ns-consent). If you switch languages, we remember your choice in a cookie (lang) so that you land directly in your language on your next visit. Fonts are loaded from our own server, not from Google Fonts.
Your rights
You have the right to information about your data processed by us, to rectification, erasure and restriction of processing, to data portability, and to object to processing and withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact info@hyperpage.ch. You can also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or a competent supervisory authority in the EU.
Changes
We update this policy when the website or legal requirements change. The version published here applies.
